hello lovely
I’m Laura, and this is a little about me…
I’m a mum to my beautiful boy Koa, and wife to my Brazilian husband (who happens to be a professionally trained chef — which is as wonderful as it sounds). With my background in Nutrition and Fitness, and his love for cooking, our home is centred around mindful movement, whole food plant-based meals — the kind that nourish both body and soul.
Before this season, I walked through a long stretch of singleness and waiting — full of questions, growth, and learning to trust God in ways I hadn’t before. It was a time of deep wrestling, but it shaped me profoundly. That journey became my eBook Waiting in the Wings, and it’s a big part of why I care so much about walking alongside other women in their own seasons. I now also offer Christian life coaching for women who want support, encouragement, and someone to walk alongside them through times of waiting and growth.
When I was single, I packed up my van and set off on a solo trip around Australia — though the joke was on me, because I never actually left the state. Instead, I met my now husband in a little coastal beach town.
We met, got engaged, married, and fell pregnant all within a year (yes… still processing the whirlwind). It was beautiful, stretching, and completely life-changing.
These days, so much of what I share flows from this season of building a family. I care deeply about raising children who feel safe, secure, and grounded — and we’ve chosen a gentle, mostly screen-free rhythm and a wholefoods approach in our home, simply because it’s what’s felt right for us.
I’m also really passionate about cultivating strong, healthy marriages — the kind built on friendship, faith, and choosing each other daily. I’ve been documenting pieces of this journey on YouTube since our honeymoon — sharing honestly and practically about marriage, motherhood, faith, and the pursuit of a slow, peaceful, joy-filled home.
“You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.”
You’ll usually find me cooking something nourishing, chasing Koa around the park (with a much-needed coffee in hand), or setting up a simple sunset picnic by the lake — often with blueberry muffins involved. And lately, in the quiet pockets of nap time, I’ve been creating a Simple Sweet Things cookbook and a picture book for mums and their little ones.
So whether you’re here for a recipe, a bit of encouragement, or just a quiet moment in between naps — I’m really glad you’re here.
My hope is that you find encouragement in your home, your marriage, your motherhood, your faith. So please, come as you are — messy bun, reheated coffee and all
Lett-uce Love,
Laura, x
